Deployment Strategist
Join Qutwo, Europe’s elite Quantum AI lab. Solve foundational problems alongside top talent in the industry. Build the next paradigm with us.
Join Qutwo - Europe's private Quantum AI Lab, on our quest to bridge the gap between the classical and the quantum world. We partner with the most advanced and forward-thinking customers, solving fundamental real-world problems, side by side.
We are a European AI lab for the quantum era, co-founded by pioneers behind IQM and Silo AI, with a team spanning MIT, UC Berkeley, Cambridge, and Carnegie Mellon, and backed by the founders of Skype, Hugging Face, Quantinuum, Supercell and many more. We work at the intersection of quantum computing, AI, optimization, and simulation - where the answers do not yet exist and the work genuinely matters.
We sell multi-million euro design partnerships. Each partnership is a multi-quarter, multi-stakeholder commitment that bends customer R&D roadmaps, engages C-suite sponsors, and puts our engineers shoulder-to-shoulder with theirs.
We are now seeking a Deployment Strategist. If you are a humble learner, not afraid of the unknown, we encourage you to apply.
The role sits within the Deployment function (part of Business Development), but is deliberately cross-disciplinary. It is the connective tissue between BD (commercial), R&D (engineering and science), product (Qutwo OS), and the customer's own teams. That requires a specific kind of person: someone who can work with customer’s business & technical leadership, our R&D, and turn ambitious framing into executed outcomes, customer success and eventually account expansion. Profiles with strong P&L experience, strong execution, interpersonal, project management and analytics skills.
Our main hub is located in Helsinki but we are actively looking for talent also in Sweden and Germany. For the Deployment Strategist role, preferred location in Helsinki as time is also spent at client sites.
Role Description
Overall responsibility of Qutwo’s customer portfolio’s success. Build the ways of working around Account Leadership teams.
Build and lead the customer motion to drive sales and adoption.
Frame the problem. Co-author the partnership scope, and the customer's senior sponsors. Translate vague enterprise ambition into a problem statement Qutwo's R&D team can build against.
Quarterback the deployment. Run the multi-disciplinary team across Qutwo and the customer. Hold the timeline, the value hypothesis, and the weekly cadence. Make the calls when scope, sequencing, or resourcing has to change.
Be the bilingual face of the partnership. Walk into a customer's lab and discuss embeddings, optimisation under uncertainty, or quantum-classical hybrid pipelines. Walk into the same customer's executive committee and frame the same work in P&L terms. Both, in the same week.
Drive expansion. Design partnerships are not the destination, they are the entry point. You spot the next workstream, the next business unit, the next geography, and you build the case with the team before the current scope ends.
Codify the playbook. Each deployment teaches us something about how Qutwo OS lands in real enterprises. Capture it. Feed it back into the product, into BD's pitch, into the next deployment's plan.
Who we are looking for
You probably have a profile that has overlap with some of these areas:
Line-unit director or engagement manager from a top firm, with a real technical or analysis heavy background.
Forward-deployed engineer, deployment strategist, or solutions architect from Palantir, Scale AI, Anthropic, OpenAI, Databricks, or a similarly serious AI/data company, ready to step up into a role with more commercial ownership.
Ex-founder of a B2B AI / deep-tech startup, who has lived the customer side of design partnerships and wants to be on the other side of the table at scale.
Senior practitioner from a deep-tech corporate, ready to leave the matrix and operate at the front line.
What you must have:
Demonstrated ability to lead complex enterprise engagements end to end, ideally in regulated industries (pharma, finance, energy, defence-adjacent, public sector)
AI/ML background.
Genuine technical fluency. You will not write production code here, but you must be able to read a paper, debate an architecture, and earn the respect of our R&D team.
A track record of holding executive relationships at C-1 and C-suite level inside large enterprises.
Comfort with ambiguity, scope changes, and the politics of multi-stakeholder deployments.
Excellent written communication. We run on memos.
What is nice to have:
Background in or exposure to quantum computing, optimization, simulation, or hybrid AI systems.
Prior P&L or practice-leadership ownership.
English is the working language. Languages relevant to our target geographies (Finnish, Swedish, German) are a plus.
We will start reviewing applications from August 3, 2026 onwards.
